As you may or may not know, I’m pretty terrified of Mr. G, the parrot that we have at home. And since I’ve been home since last Friday, I’ve been subject to his fear-smelling (you know, because he smells my fear) and Keng-scaring antics once more. x__x
I’ve noticed that he likes flying to the table and landing on someone’s head while we’re eating. Not that he wouldn’t do that before, he’d just do it more constantly now, playing musical chairs on the heads of whoever’s sitting at the dining table (he did this yesterday, woe) and flying back and forth from his cage to where we are. It’s amusing when he’s playing with hair or climbing up clothes or doing his Spider-Man trick, as long as they’re not mine/done near me. Once he does it to me, I cower in fear (I’d probably curl up in a fetal position if I could, hah!) and shout at one of my younger brothers to get him off. >__> It’s pretty bad, really. My youngest brother even tells me off for how stupid my whole thing with Mr. G is. XD
Anyways, last weekend, I went shopping with my brothers, and there was one day (I don’t remember which shopping day it was, lol) when we went home with some chicken teriyaki from a Japanese place in the mall. So of course, me and my brothers start eating, and here comes Mr. G in all his green glory, wanting to taste some of it:

It was pretty amusing watching him go back and forth between two takeout boxes of food. XD Mind you, though, it’s probably the only time I’ll think he’s quite nifty. :P
Happy November, aka the BEST month of the year, everyone! :D
And if you don’t get why, well, too bad.
All weirdness aside, I really am happy it’s November now. Because it means the semester ends in a couple of weeks. And that it’s getting colder. And that the holidays are coming up. And that there’s a whole bunch of long weekends (three, to be exact), wheee. :D Apparently, it’s National Blog Posting Month, too. With all the awesomesauceness that November brings, who knows, I just might do that whole blog-every-day-of-the-month thing (not that I’m joining NaBloPoMo; just following the concept that it has) and not let this site gather dust as it always has.
So I’ve been at home since Friday night last week. I played bad college student and skipped a whole week of classes so I could get here by Halloween, which is also Kuya Erik’s1 23rd birthday. Considering that I haven’t properly gone home since I moved up to Gainesville in August2, it’s a much-needed mini-vacation of sorts. :] I’m even treating this visit as a vacation so much that I haven’t finished a single thing on my to-do list for school! Procrastination 5, school 0.

In other news, I had a scare with my newly-bought cellphone3 over the weekend. D: I was pulling out the joystick cap I had bought for it to show my youngest brother, and instead of just the cap coming off, the whole upper keypad popped out. x__x Me and my dad had to figure out how to open it and take out the front housing, which is what that picture shows (it’s the back of my phone with the housing removed). Having to open up something I spent $300 on is not cool at all. I’ve learned my lesson now and will hopefully never take off the joystick cap ever again. XD
Anyways, I have to get back to “work”. But before I do, I give you plugs! :D Julia’s back with julesincolor.com, and so is JC with redwhitebrue.com, so go show them some love! :)

Dear UF Mail Division,
Why must you be so slow when it comes to organizing incoming mail?!
Last week, I had an order that was delivered on Monday. And when did I finally get my hands on it?FRIDAY! Am I the only one who sees something wrong with that?!?
I understand that your division sorts ALL the mail UF gets, but really, that 5-day lag was just baaaaddd.
I hope your mail-sorting and mail-delivering gets better in the future.
Love,
Me
That’s because I’ve been walking barefoot around the hall since Wednesday last week (my only pair of slippers broke), and even though USPS says my new slippers were delivered Saturday, I’ve yet to get it. Which brings me to the next letter:
Dear Yulee Office,
Why must you always lag when you put the blue slips in our cubby holes? Is it really that hard of a job to do?
I mean, all you guys do is sit around in the office all day and answer phone calls/sign out and receive packages. Is it really excruciating, the thought of walking those few meters to the Yulee lobby to distribute blue package slips into their respective cubbies? On time?! I, for one, think not. So why must you always subject me to an empty cubby when I’m expecting a package?!? The wait for it to actually get delivered here was already long enough!!
As much as I love Yulee, this just sucks.
If you want me to stay here next year, please, I beg you, do this on time!!!Love,
Me
edit: Well, I finally got my slippers two hours after my post. Which brings me to write a third letter:
Dear Yulee Office,
Again with the blue slips. This time around, though, why forget to write them?!? D: And to think you’ve had my slippers since the 20th (just as the online tracking thingy said)!! You could’ve spared me three extra days of walking barefoot!
This is very disappointing indeed.
Sadly,
Me
If my kuya1 finally teaches me how to drive over winter break, I’ll probably move off-campus next year.
Probably. :P
