Info

Turbo-Geek.org was registered with PinoyDNS in April of 2004, along with hosting from HostingPH. After two years, I switched registrars from PinoyDNS to GoDaddy in order to avail of their private registrations and have been with them ever since. From July 19 to September 2, 2007, I was graciously hosted by Alex on his reseller, until I bought my own reseller account over at Skye Host. I wasn't impressed with how things were coming along, however, so on September 22, I switched hosts again. This time I chose to go with InnoHosting, after seeing their free upgrade promotion and reading about them over at Web Hosting Talk (as opposed to trying them out just because of their impressively fast servers, like I did with Skye Host). Two months later, I moved yet again because I couldn't deal with InnoHosting's TOS about hosting other people (which turned out to be a grey area for them, so they wouldn't have been as strict about it as I thought), so I switched over to KnownHost. Hopefully, there's no more moving in the near future, haha.

I have the KH Pro plan from KnownHost, which gives me 5GB of space and 100GB of bandwidth (at least according to WHM; their hosting page just says 40GB, sooo) for only $10/month. :)

This domain serves mainly as a personal site, where I host not only my blog (which is powered by WordPress), but my projects as well. Though I originally intended it to just be a place where I can ramble on and on, it has come to grow into a network, albeit small, of my sites over the years.

Turbo-Geek.org is currently three years old (going on four). I never expected T-G to last this long, honestly, but my adoration for this domain name, along with the fear of losing contact with online friends I've made over the years, is a big factor as to why I keep renewing every year.

Name

Turbo Geek is another name for the song Sick Sad Little World (also He Said) by Incubus, which comes from their fifth album A Crow Left of the Murder. I thought the name sounded nifty and applied very well to me and my geekiness, along with the antisocial tendencies that’s prominent in the literal translation of the lyrics’ chorus.

Current Layout

Info for the current layout can be found at the sidebar. :) It's rather short, at least compared to my last layout description (which spanned what, five paragraphs?!?), but I like it that way and see no point in reiterating what I've already said. Also, the sidebar looks pretty bare without it so I decided to let it stay there. :P
