So much for conversing about P&P in the comments. Did I ever get back to anyone about it? :/
First off, here is yet another version of my argyle layout! I’m quite fond of it, if you haven’t gathered already. xD The diagonal stripes began to get annoying (I don’t like how they ‘glitch’ or something when you scroll down), so I fixed it around. This is my favorite version so far (who knows how many more variations of it I’ll make), so it’s probably going to stay a while. ;)
On Friday, my kuya (older brother) went and got copies of the The Matrix movies after watching The Matrix Revolutions back in Tennessee (he only worked 2 days out of the 6 he was there, so he told me he watched a lot of HBO in his hotel room xD). We watched it on Saturday, and I realized that even though I’ve seen all the movies more than once before, it was the first time that I truly understood the story. xD Quite amusing. Also, I now have a new fondness for black trenchcoats. ♥ It was such a blast from the past—where has all the time gone?
I’ve been trying to learn line art for the past couple of days. It’s quite frustrating. :/ I have to go transform this sketch into a vexel so I can just resize the head digitally (my kuya doesn’t want to draw me another one with a smaller head) and place more emphasis on the gator chomp (it’s supposed to look like the letter K for Kaleidoscope Month). *sigh* I think I’m pretty well-acquainted with the pen tool (from learning how to vexel a long while ago), but this is different territory for me. If anyone has nifty tricks/tips/suggestions, please share. Because I’m desperate. And confused. :/
Yesterday I realized that Fall semester starts on August 23—a Thursday. And that I don’t have any classes to worry about that day. :D I originally intended on just taking 12 credits because of Intro to Financial Accounting (aka my major’s weed-out class) and Survey of Calculus 2, but eh. At least it’s not 18 credits..? But then again, it seems like Fall semester will be just as busy as Spring semester for me. Ehh.
Well. I have to go make another attempt at figuring out line art. And find out how fast I type for this data entry job I applied for (*crosses fingers*). Later. (:

I haven’t watched all of the Matrix movies, and the ones that I have seen I don’t understand too much. I guess it just doesn’t interest me. :/
DN Angel is basically about a boy (Daisuke) who ‘inherits’ the Great Phantom Thief Dark. All boys of the Niwa family do when they turn 14. The show follows him as he steals historic art works for the purpose of sealing them off. I guess a few words to sum it up: angels, magic, love, and great action. I highly recommend it (and the fact that there are cute guys could be included in that too). :D
Cool layout!

Hi.
Thanks for comment.
I know, there’s nothing WRONG with having the same colours all the time, but sometimes I get bored of it. Hehe. If you know what I mean? Well, anyways.. I like your layout. Simple, but REALLY nice. Love the colours. (Colours, colours, bla, bla.)
I didn’t really understand the line-thing, so I can’t help you. I don’t think I could anyways, though.
Well, good luck :)

I love this layout. It’s so cute, and I’m excited to see your other versions! Haha.
The first Matrix will always be the best. I never got what the 2nd was about, so it made it not want to watch the 3rd. Who knows? Maybe I’ll watch it again soon :)
I am sooo stupid at art. Hahaha.

hey,, thanks for the comment on my site :P your layout is very unique, especially the square designs. the line art looks complicated hehe for me xD vexels are soo hard to do.

I’m gonna ‘fess up and say that I haven’t watched any The Matrix movie yet. But anyway, sometimes I’m like that. I wouldn’t understand the story clearly until after a while of watching it numerous times. Maybe it’s because you’ve stopped taking in all the littlest details and watching it as a whole? Or something?
Anyway, I don’t really know much about digital art or anything close to it. Geesh, I really suck. But heck, I love this layout. Looks good. :D

just a question, what is an argyle? is it a brand or something? teehee! i often see these on socks. :) but yeah, this layout is definitely cute!
i think i saw all the matrix movies…i think… but what i liked most is the animatrix which has nothing to do with the movie’s plot or something. the animation is just superb!
well, good luck on that vexel thingy and your new job!! have a great day dear!

The Matrix movies are damn good…Is it big headed of me to say I understood them the first time ’round? ha
I’ve never even tried line art…It looked really hard to do so I chickened out!
Thanks for the comment, by the way! It’s much appreciated

Ah yes black trenchcoats are awesome. Love the sketch, good luck with the vexel. I have no experience in those.

I’d help give tips for lineart, but I really CAN’T use the pen tool! I’ve tried and tried, but to no avail.
Keep at it though!
Sounds like you’ll have a pretty nice semester with only 12 credits. Wish I could get away with that. But then my 5-year program would probably turn into 8! Haha

that sketch is so cute!!!
I love the Matrix.. but only the first. I didn’t like the second one, so I never went to see/rent the third.

Ahh what a cute sketch! And a cute layout!
I love all three parts to the matrix. I think the second and third ones are close to my heart (especially the religious undertones are more noticeable in the third).
I’m terrible at line art, I think. You can do it!

I like this version :D Eeek line art? Looks hard, and i’ve never bothered to attempt it hehe Good luck though! It’s be a good skill to have!
I loved the matrix, I think I understood it but I’m not sure :P

I haven’t seen the Matrix in forever. I could see how that’d be time trippy. That drawing is adorable. I don’t think I will ever attempt line art, so props to you.`
