/edit: Pictures are here on my Multiply if anyone wants to see (if you have an account, feel free to add me–I don’t bite, even if I am a Gator ;) ). :D Also, if anyone knows how to edit the brightness settings or whatever for a laptop (if it helps, I have a Toshiba Satellite), please tell me. I tried fixing it through the Toshiba Power Saver Properties, but it doesn’t work. T______T
/editx2: IE can seriously go to hell for effing up my layout, I am out of clues, really, as to what else I can do to make this work in that browser. :’( I give up, sorry if it looks screwed up for you.
So. I finally moved to my dorm last Saturday. Moving is crazy, I tell you that, but shopping afterwards for stuff you forgot to bring? INSANE. I’m glad all that’s done and over with. :P
I like my dorm a lot, even if I am on the 4th floor. Our room’s bigger than what I had prepared myself for, and the bathroom’s cleaner and nicer, too. ♥ Broward Hall (where freshmen stayed for a night during a 2-day orientation) is like a dump compared to Yulee Hall, lol. ;) And the view from the room is awesome because you can see the area people have dubbed Broward Beach. There’s a swimming pool and pretty grass and basketball courts, etc. I haven’t really met anybody, though. Besides my roommate and the RA. And a girl named Brittany who lives across our room (sorta) who said hi yesterday. :P I need to go out of our room more. And attend Yulee/Reid/Mallory gatherings even if my roomie doesn’t want to. xD
I walked for almost 2 hours straight yesterday, it was fun. I went around to the buildings where my classes are, I’m happy I managed to find all of them. :P All the walking made me realize how much I’m going to enjoy it here, for some weird reason. I’m glad I didn’t bring a bicycle with me. xD But yeah. I might go on another walk today and take all sorts of pictures, so we’ll see. I need to go get myself a bag.
So, I need to know what bus number takes you downtown. Because I need adhesives that won’t ruin the paint on the walls so I can stick all of my Incubus and TAI/William Beckett awesomeness. Which reminds me that Ellie now owns my heart for correctly guessing that it’s William here in my layout. ♥
I need to go shower. And get some brunch. Later. :)

Score, I got it right! Whoot. Exciting. Ah, move-in was fun…hectic, but fun. My room’s on the third floor, but I have an elevator. And PS, I heart that you’re listening to Cobra Starship. I ADORE that song to death. And the movie was highly amusing, ha.

oh, i envy how you once had a new clean (um, well, i don’t know who was in there previously ;)) dorm to decorate! sigh, i love decorating. hope you had the time of your life doing that. i’d really like to be in your shoes right now, i can’t wait to start a new life elsewhere. take care! :)
(PS: mr. beckett’s got quite the voice, and i’m falling in love with the layout)
(PPS: winter is my absolute favorite season, hands down, so i’m waiting on those cold fronts with you)

Nice site. I like the layout and coding. :) so you going to college.. That must be cool. Dorms.. Even funner. I plan on going to a college near home or something so I don’t have to live in dorms.

I seriously can’t wait to get away from home when I go to college.

ooh campus life! I always wanted to experience that at least once, because I know it’s different from the urban college experience (well, the commute is an experience in itself!) But it sounds wonderful over there - i’d love to see pictures!
& thanks for checking on me, you ♥

wow, I hope your school treats you well. I love that song by Cobra Starship, William Beckett is amazing. AMAZING. I saw him live, he was awesome. The fourth floor doesn’t sound too bad. It should be okay. Thanks for the comment at my site. xD

Moving is just horrid, especially when you’re one of those really lazy people. I hate myself. Anyway. I’m glad you really like your new room. You are so lucky to be able to see the beach in the distance. I’d love that. I hope school goes well for you. Best of luck.
And as a final note, yes IE sucks, but your layout looks fine in it. :)

Lovely new layout. I like the style. Ugh, I hate IE too, I’m at school now so I have to use it.. I can see you found a solution. Aww, you have no idea how jealous I a, want to go to college too…

I really really do hate IE… but pretty much all the computer on campus use IE except for the Turner Lab computers.
I love your layout ^^ It’s a really nice style.

Oh, about your comment? What year did you attend VCF? I went to church there for about 6 years. Lol =D
Lol, I love walking.

Eek. Moving in anywhere is always a pain in the butt. I imagine moving into a dorm would be really hectic, but at least it’s all over with now.

awesome layout dude. it was really cool that you made an effort to do the whole firefox/IE thing :)
Han said on Aug 26, 2006 at 11:36 am:
this the new IE7 thats messed up your layout? grrr, its annoying isn’t it! I cant be bothered with the 2 reboots for it!
um, as for making this layout work, I’d do it with divs, then make padding-top to 100px for this main column and it *should* work fine in both browsers :)
Anna said on Aug 26, 2006 at 7:58 pm:
;)) Your dorm room and your dorms view sa labas looks more like a hotel na nga eh. Ganda..
Boo for effing IE for messing out our layouts, I got to check my Myspace page in an Internet Caf and it looks terrible. :| No wonder it looks so.. how do I say it, unfriendly to other browsers. :S Haha.
Most of the time I don’t care how my layout will look sa IE na, bahala sila mamroblema.. Haha, or idadaan nalang sa chamba, chamba na maybe it’ll look good sa IE.. ok, whatever. :))

I’d like to go to a dorm and experience everything, but we don’t have it the same way Americans do :(
I’m happy your room is bigger than expected and everything is nice and clean :P Hope you’ll have fun

I’m glad you like your new dorm! *cheers*
Ahk. INternet Explorer sucks. I often question myself why I still use it … *blushes* Haha. lol. :]
Well, take care!
Plenty of love; Chels.

That’s cool that you have two themes for both browsers, all though it would be better to have one eh? It sucks that IE is so friggen messed up. I hate it. Absolutely.
I’m glad you like your dorm! I wish I lived in a dorm, but I guess that would mean I’d have to be out of high school right?
JC said on Aug 28, 2006 at 12:23 am:
I’m sure you won’t have a problem making friends. Especially since you’re choosing to live in dorms freshman year. That’s where majority of the friends you have throughout college are met. :)
Dom said on Aug 28, 2006 at 5:15 pm:
Well I hope you really enjoy college. It sounds like you’re going to! Keep well =)
Ashley said on Aug 28, 2006 at 8:13 pm:
Moving SUCKS! But enjoy college, sweetie!
I don’t know why you bother trying to make it look good in IE. The mozilla page works perfectly in IE!
Lauren said on Sep 1, 2006 at 2:35 pm:
I love your layout so much :)
That is good that you are happy with your room. It would be terrible to hate it. From your pictures it looks really nice.
Angela said on Sep 3, 2006 at 3:09 pm:
Your layout looks fine in my IE. I don’t know differently it’s supossed to look. I’m glad you’re enjoying campus life so far. But I definitely agree with you that you should get out more, just to meet more people. Because without people it can get pretty boring. Take care!
