So, I haven’t updated in quite a while. :P I’ve been really busy this past week and stuff, hence the long absence.
Last Monday and Tuesday, I went to work at D’Jobs (I’ve stopped bothering with Linens-N-Things ’cause they keep telling me someone will call when no one ever does), and after a week of not being called to go, there was a lot of stuff waiting for me. I worked all day those 2 days, so when I got home, I’d be pooped out and just curl in my bed with Hobbes, my panda, and sleep. xD
Then Wednesday, we all prepared for the trip to Gainesville for my Preview (orientation) session. It was a three and a half hour drive to Gainesville, and me and my youngest brother (whom I have converted into a Rent fan! hooray!) spent the drive listening to Rent’s OST and watching the DVD. :D Fun stuff. Preview, on the other hand, was a horror in terms of all the walking (lol) and all the information they gave us (overload much?). But it was neat, I made two friends there, hehe, which I have found ways of pestering online. xD It was extremely exhausting, though, and I’m glad it’s over. I’ve been sleeping for long periods of time the past few days because I was so tired. :P I have a more in-depth story of the happenings at Preview in my eljay, complete with pictures (which you can see here), so yeah.
I finally saw Memoirs of a Geisha today. It was pretty, yes (one can never go wrong with Zhang Zi Yi ;)), but again, the book is a million times better. Speaking of books, I’m finally over a hundred pages in 1984! Lol. It’s the farthest I’ve ever been, so go be proud of me! xD
Hm. I have nothing else to say, really. Except this:
Julia Masaya Ellie Sophia Oriana Sara Aichee Vivi Noelle Chrissy Giselle Tran Dee Stina Brenda Angel Giancarlo Lindsey Vans Hazel Corvida Ellie

Ah it sounds like a long week indeed.
MOG was a very pretty movie, but you are right the book is better. But I seldom come across the opposite. :)

I have no yet seen “Memoirs of a Geisha” yet, but I have read the book… which I have a feeling is better than the movie itself. Oooh, I haven’t read 1984, but I have read “Animal Farm”, by the same author, George Orwell I believe he is… haha, I recommend “Animal Farm”, READ IT… Ew, I sound like some sort of book nerd, lmao.

memoirs of a geisha was a good movie. it’s not my kinda thing, but it was still really good. i’d also read the book a while back but i wasn’t a huge fan of it (not a reader) lol

Yo! Eek.. this is a really late comment hah. Yayness for the new job :) Its good you changed over before the job at Linens N’ Things got too frustrating for you to wait. I haven’t seen Memoirs of A Geisha fully.. only like.. the first hour or so, then I got pulled out of the cinema because of my friend. I’m proud that you’ve gone past yourpersonal world record for 1984 =P And yes.. I miss my friends too =(

Aw, the pictures are adorable. And yay for Rent converts. Just keep going at it for 1984, you better finish it this time, missy. That’s your goal for the summer. I’ll coach you through it, lol.

I can’t stand waiting for callbacks. I’d rather know that I didn’t get it so I can continue on with my business. Oh man I remember my orientation! I made sure to bring a bag to carry all that stuff in! I want to read and watch Memoirs of a Geisha. I need to get on that!

What a classic book to be reading; it’s such a fine piece of literature. I adore George Orwell. (Most people say that to seem intellectual; so I’ve noticed.)
The thing I love most about Orwell, and even someone like Orson Welles; their material is still so very relevant in today’s society.

Hey, sweetie. Working can be pretty tiring but at least it gives you something to do. Yeah, forget the Linens-N-Things :P.
Yay for Rent :P
I agree that the book Memoirs of a Geisha was waaaaaaaaaay better than the movie. I liked the movie but yeah.. books… so much better. Even for other pieces of literature. Like the Jane Austen ones. Heh.
Yay for best friends.. they’re total life support.

Waah, another movie I havent watched before, hahahah. Oh well, I shall wait for it to come out on HBO then.
So, were both on the same trip of not updating for quite sometiime, just because were busy, right right?
Work, work. I hope you earn a lot from it, from the looks of it, you will. Compare that with temporary jobs you can get there, obviously the payout’s higher there. ;) I wish I had a summer job or something that’ll earn me some $$$ last summer..
Aww…. you have cuuteeeeeeee friends! xD

Hey Keng :) I’d love to link exchange with you, I’ll add you now. ;) I’ve also seen Memoirs of a Geisha.. Zhang Ziyi is really pretty, but I kind of prefer Gong Li as a geisha. Well anyway, I love the layout, and I hope you’ll get to see your friends soon. :)

You talking about that movie Rent is kind of like the way I talk about this band that some of my friends are in. Kinda freaks people out, but you know… we love our movies/music, right?
I’ve always wanted to see Memoirs. The art direction looks amazing. But it also looks like one of those slow, cheesy romances that involve someone having to “find” their true self. Not enough hurricanes or car explosions. hehe.
