First off, new layout! :D By the face of Quinn Allman, I probably don’t need to introduce who’s featured, so yeah. XD Sorry for the humongo-ness of the image. :P
Very late update, I know, but I’ve been super busy because ever since my mom left for Florida 2 weeks ago, I’ve been made into the maid by my lazy brothers. Pffffft. So now, instead of just washing my own dishes, I do the laundry, fold the clothes, cook food, and clean up after everyone else as well. T_T
From now on, I promise not to spend any more money until we arrive in Florida. XD Went to Circuit City yesterday and spent $43 on CDs, hee. I got The Used’s The Used, SoCo’s Leaving Through the Window, and Fall Out Boy’s From Under the Cork Tree. My oldest brother also got APC’s Mer De Noms (I paid for the tax, it’s half mine! hahahahahahahahahaha), which is just super. And then last week, when we went to the Navy Exchange in Pearl Harbor, my dad got me The Used’s In Love and Death, which I can’t stop listening to right now. *lovelove*
My mom said I’m already enrolled in Florida, but I can’t believe they pushed me back a year and placed me in the 11th grade. *sigh* I’m supposed to be a senior now, so this was something for me to get pissed at. My mom said I can always take Advanced Placement classes, but I’m more angry about the whole friends thing. If I was placed in the 12th grade, I couldn’t care less about making friends because I’m going to be leaving after a year anyways, but now that I have to stay 2 years there makes it all the more harder. :cry: Bring me back to CL! I’d rather be with the Fab5+2-1 (recently renamed The Seven Dwarves, LMAO). T_T
Kinda updating my LiveJournal more, so befriend me there or something if you like. If you don’t want to, click anyways to see my prettyful Garden State layout. XD I’m uberproud of that work of mine, so hee. :D
Ok, am off to finish the laundry (blegh. I hate laundry days and folding-the-laundry days). -_-

Heya, I agree that it’s really annoying to be pushed back a year (they wanted to do that to me when I moved to the Phils, because I was too young, but i passed the test and told them i’d go to ICA or something instead [er, i went to Poveda]). Anyhow, while you’re going through two years of highschool, you might as well take APs so you can get into a kickass college, making the extra time worth it (i hope?). Hopefully everything works out and maybe you’ll even be able to make new friends now that you’ll have two years. Bitin naman kung one year lang, diba? It’s annoying and painful, but it’s always good to make lots of friends. They might be able to give you some insights to where you might want to go to college, or what you can do for fun around Florida, after all, they’ve lived there. xD It sucks, but make the best of it! :D
Good luck with the laundry. :/ I hate doing the laundry too. And washing the dishes. Crap, I’m such a spoiled brat from having househelp in the Phils. xD Cooking is fun though, so I don’t mind that. :D
Anyhoo, in response to the comment, I live in the US, as I go to school here. But I’m back in the Phils for spring&summer breaks since my parents + brother live there (I went to high school there).

aww. sorry to hear about the education mix-up. you should really try talking to the district or the school about it because you could probably take a test and it’ll bump you up a grade if you pass with a good score. well, that’s what i heard they do in cali dunno about florida. i’m sure you’ll make a few good friends in florida, they may not be as cool as your other friends, but everyone needs a friend. =] don’t worry about your school year yet, just chill out for the summer.

That really sucks that you got enrolled in grade 11 instead of grade 12. For making friends, just try and get involved in clubs and teams and stuff. I find it’s really easy to meet people that way and you get really close with them.

My brother didn’t get pushed back a year, per se, but they told him that he had to take texas and US history - 4 credits, so he ended up getting pushed back anyway. His friend, who moved here the same year, got moved back two years. America is just crazy. They push you back, but what they don’t realize is you’re already far ahead than the students here. The curriculum back home is much tougher. I guess the good news is that school will be a breeze for you, and you can spend more time finding the right people to be friends with. Well, take care!
