Tomorrow’s a Brand New Day

So I kind of noticed that I only blog around the time I get off my ass to do my laundry.
Which is pretty amusing, as I only do my laundry once a month now—charging us poor college students $1.25 to use a single machine is highway robbery, I say!! I spent about $9 on those machines yesterday, meh. Last year I’d only spend half of that whenever I’d go down to the laundry room. :\
But yes. Blogging. I really should pay more attention to this site, now that I’m paying $17/mo for hosting, hahahaha. (On a side note, if you or anyone you know needs domain hosting, contact me!!! :P)
As you may or may not know, I’m taking Survey of Calculus 2 this semester. Which isn’t so bad, but seriously, I feel like I’m getting dumber (as can be attested by pictures of my worksheets). Examples of mistakes I’ve made include:
- not plugging in the limits correctly
- 33 = 9
- 1 x 4 = 7
What is up with that?! We also had another worksheet today, and I swear, if I hadn’t checked my work, I would’ve messed up pretty badly with my approximations using Euler’s Method—2 + (1/2)2 IS NOT 2!! Lol. (It’s 3, if you were wondering :3)
But yeah, it makes me feel pretty bad that I’m majoring in a field that uses a lot of math/numbers. My roommate was pretty incredulous that I could do the more difficult Calculus stuff and not the simple math ones, haha. XD

So I just realized that people don’t exactly want to read about school. Especially if it’s some form of math geekery, lol. My bad. XD
I got my copy of Brandon Boyd’s From the Murks of the Sultry Abyss today. ♥ I prefer the artwork in White Fluffy Clouds, but then again, I haven’t finished devouring the book, so I may still change my mind. ;P Anyways, I leave you readers a most wonderful fourth of a page from the book, because I can:

edit: So I just realized how funny it is that I’m saying paying $9 to do laundry is highway robbery in my first paragraph when I talk about paying $17/mo on hosting in the 2nd. My priorities are so screwed up. XD

The washers at my school are free, thank god. I’d be in debt if I had to pay!

I use the washers at my father’s house because they’re free and we don’t even have connections in our duplex… :) Laundromats here kind of freak me out anyways…

I was looking at this equation: 33 = 9 and I thought, “Looks right to me!” LOL. I loved Calculus, too. But it wasn’t one of my major subjects. :)

I’ve got this big Accounting Business Management project deadline coming up and all I’m seeing is numbers! I don’t think I really need to read anything more haha :P

I always make the stupidest mistakes in my math calculations - it’s so frustrating! I’m pretty sure I’ve done the 3 cubed = 9 thing before, too.

I often do 3 cubed = 9 thing or 2 cubed = 6 or something like that. Escpecially if I’m not really thinking and that just happens a lot to me when doing homework. =)

I don’t know anything about maths, full stop! I actually sat there wondering why 3 squared did not equal 9 until I realised 3 squared is 3×3x3… I feel so smart right now XD I didn’t know Brandon Boyd did books! Are they arty type of books? Maybe I’ll look into getting them.

And some people actually believe that you get what you pay for, you know, and are willing to shell out so they don’t have to deal with incompetent and rude “support” techs (yeah, I was with HostingPH for three years; I had that first point coming at me for the $20/year I’d pay for my plan).
