So I kind of noticed that I only blog around the time I get off my ass to do my laundry.
Which is pretty amusing, as I only do my laundry once a month now—charging us poor college students $1.25 to use a single machine is highway robbery, I say!! I spent about $9 on those machines yesterday, meh. Last year I’d only spend half of that whenever I’d go down to the laundry room. :\
But yes. Blogging. I really should pay more attention to this site, now that I’m paying $17/mo for hosting, hahahaha. (On a side note, if you or anyone you know needs domain hosting, contact me!!! :P)
As you may or may not know, I’m taking Survey of Calculus 2 this semester. Which isn’t so bad, but seriously, I feel like I’m getting dumber (as can be attested by pictures of my worksheets). Examples of mistakes I’ve made include:
What is up with that?! We also had another worksheet today, and I swear, if I hadn’t checked my work, I would’ve messed up pretty badly with my approximations using Euler’s Method—2 + (1/2)2 IS NOT 2!! Lol. (It’s 3, if you were wondering :3)
But yeah, it makes me feel pretty bad that I’m majoring in a field that uses a lot of math/numbers. My roommate was pretty incredulous that I could do the more difficult Calculus stuff and not the simple math ones, haha. XD
.
So I just realized that people don’t exactly want to read about school. Especially if it’s some form of math geekery, lol. My bad. XD
I got my copy of Brandon Boyd’s From the Murks of the Sultry Abyss today. ♥ I prefer the artwork in White Fluffy Clouds, but then again, I haven’t finished devouring the book, so I may still change my mind. ;P Anyways, I leave you readers a most wonderful fourth of a page from the book, because I can:

Please tell me you can figure out why I’m so amused. XD
edit: So I just realized how funny it is that I’m saying paying $9 to do laundry is highway robbery in my first paragraph when I talk about paying $17/mo on hosting in the 2nd. My priorities are so screwed up. XD

Meep, I have to pay $1.25 per week to do my laundry, it sucks, but we save a bit on electricity that way, I suppose =/
And your math worksheet keels, I tell you. D:

Well I’ve had cookies LIKE those! And they’re delicious. When I was a Girl Scout they used to make them.
And I love to read blogs about school. DUH, it’s LIFE! I like to read about LIFE!
The washers at my school are free, thank god. I’d be in debt if I had to pay!
Amy said on Oct 11, 2007 at 10:55 pm:
I use the washers at my father’s house because they’re free and we don’t even have connections in our duplex… :) Laundromats here kind of freak me out anyways…
Go UF. FSU is out to get me right now I swear…

Hey it’s been a while! Glad you were able to blog again. :)
I was looking at this equation: 33 = 9 and I thought, “Looks right to me!” LOL. I loved Calculus, too. But it wasn’t one of my major subjects. :)
Brandon Boyd, huh? I should check out those books. :) Kelan ka uwi ng Pinas? hehe.
Juice said on Oct 12, 2007 at 11:39 am:
I don’t even own any of Boyd’s books yet. I’m such a bad Mrs. Boyd :( And yes Keng, to be honest I really did skip reading the part where you talked about Calculus. I’ve got this big Accounting Business Management project deadline coming up and all I’m seeing is numbers! I don’t think I really need to read anything more haha :P
You know what, I’m really tempted to be hosted by you. Truthfully coz I trust you more as a host and I know you’re a really good one, plus we’re both Incubus freaks so that adds up to the whole thing. Watchu think? E-mail me!
ZOMG at the picture I just want to faint already.

I love your domain name… And the lay is time.
lol @ only blogging when you do laundry.
Yeah, the washing machines here cost a lot too. Glad I have friends with apartments!
$17 a month?! I hope you find some hostees.
Ha, I hate making little math mistakes…
He glued his boarding pass in the book? I know that’s not drawn!

Maybe you just need a *special* occasion like clean clothes to blog??
I always make the stupidest mistakes in my math calculations - it’s so frustrating! I’m pretty sure I’ve done the 3 cubed = 9 thing before, too.
Brandy said on Oct 12, 2007 at 7:51 pm:
Gee Willikers! $17/mnth!? Woah. I pay only $6.95/mnth for my reseller hosting.
If only money grew on trees, eh!?
I can’t figure out that picture. lol. *stumped* So, why are you so amused?
Zala said on Oct 13, 2007 at 6:43 am:
I often do 3 cubed = 9 thing or 2 cubed = 6 or something like that. Escpecially if I’m not really thinking and that just happens a lot to me when doing homework. =)
I like maths, though. It can be fun. =)
Lil said on Oct 13, 2007 at 7:09 am:
I don’t know anything about maths, full stop! I actually sat there wondering why 3 squared did not equal 9 until I realised 3 squared is 3×3x3… I feel so smart right now XD I didn’t know Brandon Boyd did books! Are they arty type of books? Maybe I’ll look into getting them.
Britney said on Oct 13, 2007 at 8:39 pm:
Wow, $17 a month for hosting? That’s pretty expensive… I have to pay $5 a week for a laundry. It sucks. I wish it were cheaper, but I guess it’s better than the $9 you have to pay. :/
Exene said on Oct 13, 2007 at 10:22 pm:
17$ a month?! What! You can get domains for free you know.
Keng said on Oct 13, 2007 at 11:20 pm:
Anna: Nag-comment ako sa Multiply mo. ;)
Joyce: Yeah, I think they only sell it online. And a few select specialty bookshops, I guess (’cause I remember reading somewhere that he held a signing at some bookstore in California). He better cherish his time in the Philippines!! Hahaha.
Angela: Ahhh. I thought you had the exact same cookies, so I wanted to know how you got them. XD As for the washers, I’m envious they’re free at your school!! Argh.
Joni: Ewan ko kung kailan ako uuwi. :’( If I could, I’d buy a one-way ticket right now, lol. Mahal kasi plane tickets, eh, and considering there’s 7 of us in the family… We probably won’t be going back to visit until a whole bunch of years have passed. :/
(Olivia): Yeah, he glued it in his journal. :]
Brandy: Read Anna’s or Joyce’s comment. ;)
Lil: :O How could you not know Brandon does books? Lol. But yeah, they’re art books with his artworks (obviously :P), musings, journal entries, photographs, etc etc. :)
Britney: Dang, $5 a week?! That $9 I pay for laundry is for 3-4 weeks’ worth of clothes! :O
Exene: Um, ok. And some people actually believe that you get what you pay for, you know, and are willing to shell out so they don’t have to deal with incompetent and rude “support” techs (yeah, I was with HostingPH for three years; I had that first point coming at me for the $20/year I’d pay for my plan).
Brenda said on Oct 14, 2007 at 9:26 am:
