I’m Down and Out

Richard: Ma, palitan natin pangalan ni Mr. G! (Ma, let’s change Mr. G’s name!)
Me: NO! “Mr. G” is kewliezzz!
Ma: Ano naman ipapangalan mo sa kanya? (What name will you give him?)
Domeng1: Soy Sauce

Yeah, I didn’t see that coming either. XD

So I know I said in my last post that I’d be preparing for my return to Gainesville2. I haven’t really done anything from what I sort of enumerated, though, save for obtaining some scrapbook supplies in the form of Kuya Erik’s3 TV box. He bought himself a 32” HDTV4 Saturday night, so I now have an awesomely good-sized source for corrugated cardboard. Now only if he’ll invest his money on maybe a 60” TV or a new refrigerator or a washer & dryer, I’d be good to go with my corrugated cardboard needs, haha.

Besides that, I’ve mostly been reading. Reading what? Look at the sidebar. ;) And then of course because I have a sidebar now, it meant I’ve been working on this new layout, too. Which was a pain considering all the content I did (seriously; I’ve never made this much in my whole four and a half years of blogging, which should say a lot) and that I happen to hate it with a passion.

For lack of anything else of substance to talk about, I leave you all with plugs! To people who hopefully won’t disappear from the blogging world again: JC, Kiel and Oriana. <3 Now if only everybody else I know from way before would follow suit… XD

Footnotes:

  1. My youngest brother. []
  2. Where UF is; approximately 3 hours away from home. []
  3. My oldest brother. Kuya means older brother in Tagalog. []
  4. A Samsung LNT3242H. []

Man, your layouts are just too awesome. :D It makes me feel like being un-lazy and making my own theme, but alas, only a miracle can make me do that. You can always use the extra cardboard boxes to create a makeshift house. Mhm, cardboard houses are the latest trend to sweep America. It’s contagious. :D It makes me want to move out of my house and make a cardboard house. Yep. You know, you should help the lazy like me and release Wordpress themes. :)

lol, i’m always a fan of the footnotes. seeing those minuscule numbers and reading their subtexts brings happiness. and, since *somebody* is unwilling to reveal the mystery behind the G, i vote for the name of soy sauce as well. :) besides, naming pets after asian condiments is the cool thing to do.

on another note, i love this new layout! the grays and the blues are so exciting. like an ocean…

Alex: Aw, thanks. :) I’m actually using the corrugated cardboard to become the scrapbook’s pages, since it’s sturdy and all, so I need a lot. As for the WP themes idea, hee, thanks for the suggestion, I’ll keep that in mind. ;)

Connie: !! But if you find out what the ‘G’ stands for, you’ll lose whatever attachment you already have for Mr. G. because it’s too lame beyond words!! -__-

I tried reading a Jane Austen novel because I saw Pride and Prejudice and also think I saw Sense and Sensibility. There really are a lot of versions of Pride and Prejudiced though.
    I love old romances.
    Hm.
I’ve been looking for Becoming Jane by her but the only one I’ve found is by Jon Spence. Who might actually be the writer. Poo.
I can’t wait for the movie though :D

    Lovely layout. (:

Hey there Keng! Thanks once again for hosting me - it indeed is such a great honour xP I love the new layout and the color combination is just soothing to the eyes.

Haha, nakakatuwa yung soy sauce nickname… totally didn’t see that coming! Thanks din pala sa plug, bwahaha :) Always take care, and God bless!

Wow, sweet new layout, KENG!! I love it!

hehe. “Soy Sauce” would be a good nickname. :-P for some reason, when it comes to me eating pinoy food, I always need vinegar and soy sauce to make the rice and stew taste better..

Ah, cardboards.. I usually end up making a fortress out of ‘em .. :-D

I heard that they were making a movie on that Jane Austin in your sidebar. She must write really good books. I need to check it out sometime. Most women in that time wrote for money because thats what the best that they could do.

Masaya: Malay ko ba sa kapatid, ko, haha. XD

Kristine: Ahh yes, vinegar and soy sauce are such important condiments, though nothing beats the combo of soy sauce and kalamansi. :P

Exene: They’re making another movie for Sense and Sensibility?! There’s already the 1995 version (which I haven’t seen before, but really want to)… I guess it doesn’t matter if they really want to remake it… Are they really? :/

Oh that is a nice source for cardboard! If you go to Costco and buy veggies or something, you’ll get a FREE box to put it in. Well yesterday I bought a piece of candy because it had such a sweet looking rabbit on it. Now I don’t know what to do with it.

I tried reading Jane Eyre once (yes it has no relation to Jane Austen, but the first name and Jane Eyre probably doesn’t exist), but I just stared at the pictures instead. It was one of those kid friendly books .. illustration classics or something.

This is a nice theme! I like sidebars, but sometimes it’s nice to have a change. Good job though!

I’m currently searching for a new book to read. Maybe some vampire romance since I’m so obsessed with those kind of novels lately.

I am proud of your schematic use of footnotes! +22 Approval for you! Even more approval for the name switch for your errant bird: Soy Sauce. That is a most awesome name. I’ve taken to naming all my DS lite RPG game characters “Sushi” just for kicks. The kicks being various pokemon masters calling out: “YOU WILL NEVER GET THE BEST OF ME, SUSHI!”

It brings tears to my eyes.

OOOOH a paisley-ish layout. I REALLY want to make a paisley layout myself!

I kind of this HDTVs are a waste of money. Who cares about the picture being insanely clear?? I don’t see anything wrong with a normal TV.

But about boxes, I went and bought packing boxes yesterday to get ready for going back to school.

Haha, yeah! That’s so cool we move in on the same days! I like this new theme you have up though, very blue. ^^ And I guess you’ve been doing a whole lot more preparing for it than I have…in a way. =/ My university is even closer than yours is to home — I’m only going to be like and hour and a half away from home. XD But given traffic — it’s about 3-4 hours.

Ah, reading…I’ve been all “readinged” out after finishing with Harry Potter and the whole A Series of Unfortunate Events in about two weeks. =_= But I will always be on the lookout for books to add to my “to read” list. =p

Yay for a sidebar! I was actually thinking of getting rid of my sidebar in the future but I’m just as much of a “pack rat” online as I am in real life…and I haven’t gotten up the courage to get rid of a sidebar yet. XD

You truly do inspire me to want to get back into coding. I think I want to read some coding books concerning xhtml and css. It’s been too long for me. I only remember the basics these days.

Hmmm…I’m the only one browsing this site with Opera…

That Soy Sauce name is hilarious lol. Completely random, but I’d use it!

I think I’m going to do a little big of personal blogging on my site these days because nothing is interesting on the Web anymore… *sigh*
