I think I’ve reached the quota for amusing-things-that-happen-when-one-is-stuck-at-home-24/7. If my summer could get any worse than it already is, well, it just did. NOTHING has happened since my last update. I feel like it’s the beginning of May again and I’m back to wanting to poke my eyes out. Seriously. One can only handle too much boredom before resorting to crazy measures to keep their sanity—back then I pretended I was in the 6th grade again and started geeking on animé, both old and new (not that that’s a bad thing—animé is made of awesome, imo).
But of course, it isn’t really May again because school is starting in a couple of weeks. I, for the third time1, am excited beyond words. I’m ready to leave this place and have a life again, filled with sushi dinners and walking around campus and crazy Friday night worships and after-events with Chi Alpha2. I’m not forgetting about the busyness of Kaleidoscope Month3 either. Leaving, however, entails a careful and thorough preparation. I have a lot of stuff to do in three weeks—brush up on my Calc 1 for Calc 2 this Fall, get business attire for Kaleidoscope, finalize my scrapbook ideas (and, consequently, hunt around for supplies), etc etc.
So I might be gone for a while. Or not at all, who knows. Let’s just say I need to get cracking and leave it at that.
On a final note, I leave all of you with a short video clip of Richard4 playing with Mr. G5: Click here to go to the video in my Multiply account (apparently, embedding videos made my site less accessible). Yes, he is that noisy. Especially when he’s left alone—he likes all the attention.

mr. G. is adorable, how can you possibly not like this bird of wonder? oh, and it’s a bit crazy of you to be excited for school! for the THIRD time! so it is my hope that you find excitement in your life soon, without the assistance of higher education. :) good luck, and stay strong!

love the footnotes :)
I enjoy pets, but I’ve never had a bird I liked.

yes! I’m glad you and I share so many of the same thoughts! Haha, I believe in communicating through comments — so don’t worry, you made perfect sense before!
I’ve tried solving boredom of being stuck at home with anime as well! Well, anime and Japanese dramas…and lots of other things like that. XD I’ve also been reading tons, having reading contests with my younger sister (who’s 9) because I’m starting to motivate her into reading bigger books at a young age. =P She will be Asian if it’s the last thing I do! Hah! hah!
When does school start for you? I start toward the end of August, on the 19th. But yuuumm…sushi. That’s one thing I’m excited for in college, the wide variety of food I can eat. I’ll feel guilty at first for not eating rice for all two meals (i’m not a breakfast person) of the day, but I’m sure I’ll adjust. =] Kaleidoscope Month sounds so awesome…we had a “week” kind of that in high school and called in Multicultural week for all the clubs to come out and do their thing. I wonder if I’ll have that type of thing at my university…? I hope so, considering the campus is like 55% Asian…
Omg, what type of bird is that? A Parakeet? Ahh, I’m so jealous you guys have it trained. When I had parakeets, they weren’t trained at all so all we could do was look at them in the cage and…well, yeah. =/

Summer been a drag for me too. I’ve been in my house for weeks. Wow your birdie is super cute!

Well I’m glad to hear someone that isn’t griping about returning to school. I’m not great at guessing with hints and clues so I’ll say that you’re in college. Sounds much more enjoyable then highschool. We have this Asian Club there, but I guess I’m not Asian enough to catch what they’re saying. Yeah.. I feel excluded. So do you cook pancakes for others and make a smiley breakfast plate. You know, the one with the bacon as the smiling mouth and the eyes are eggs. I know.. probably not, those make me happy though.’
Haha! My friend said the exact same thing about the epilogue. I felt that it was unecessary, but I’m happy with who died. =)

There is no use screaming and shouting at him!I did that, and he starts getting pissed! And when he starts getting pissed. He will use a pen to poke my face, and he would say” Why you scold me?I never do anything!!!”

Haha, the bird is funny! XD Except I wouldn’t go near it, because back when I was younger one of those birds gave me a NASTY bite … it clamped its satanic beak over the tip of my finger and just squeezed. Hard. *shudder*

I’m sorry your senior year was so crappy =[. hopefully I get to stay here but there's a chance I'll be forced to do my senior year in a really stuck up horrible school an hour away and I would HATE it =[. -knock on wood-.
lmao your bird is pretty much adorable =]. but yes they are noisy. my aunt has a cockatoo and it NEVER shuts up x_x. I’m bored out of my mind too, I just play guitar hero and sleep. because I don’t have a vehicle. and my only real friend lives a half hour away. so. =|. lmao.
life is suck at times.
haha I should have beat the kid up who stole my wallet. if I know who he was. hah.

I loved the footnotes! They were my favorite part along with the vid. Kawaii-lookin’ birdy!
We are one and the same. School for me though doesn’t start till after Labor Day. I move out but I’m going to do community service and try to find a job. ^^;;. It’s not so exciting but the idea of starting fall quarter at good ole DPU is!

I’m bored of the Summer as well :P Thankfully my school starts in two weeks so I’ll have at least something to do! And I’ve always been excited about the start of a new semester, but I’m a geek like that so… :D

This layout looks great! hehe…I know the feeling of having nothing to do, and blogs are difficult to write because there’s nothing O_O
Lexie said on Aug 1, 2007 at 9:07 am:
I was basically the same during the summer. Nothing happened. Okay, my friends kept asking me to go out and everything, but I pretty much wasn’t in the mood. I just wanted to relax, sleep and recuperate from the workload during the past academic year. :P

End of summer always is a conflicting time for me. I mean, I do want to go back and everything, but having to leave the comfort of home every year is irritating. I mean, I don’t have to pay for my own laundry and whatnot. It’s the little things that I miss.
